A Story I heard

I am going to re tell a story I heard. No idea who the author is but if I knew I would give them credit.

A lady is waiting for her flight and it is delayed. She goes to the lounge and sits down and takes out a bag of cookies she has brought with her for the flight. A man sits down next to her. She takes a cookie and while she is eating it she notices the man sitting next to her takes one too! She is really peeved at this behavior but says nothing. As she eats through the stack the man next to her takes a cookie as she takes one. She is really fuming now and then there is only one cookie left. She waits,  and the man breaks the cookie in half gets up and leaves eating one half while the other remains. The lady is so mad she cannot see straight. But she said nothing about this behavior so she is as mad at herself as she is at this stranger. She boards her flight still seeing red.  She sits down and reaches into her hand bag and pulls out a package of cookies. She realizes that the cookies she was eating ,by mistake, were the strangers. She realizes that the stranger should have been really pissed at her! She is upset because of how she felt about him when he really unselfishly divided the last cookie. She will never see that person again. She cannot apologize for her behavior. She sits quietly alone thinking about this whole incident.

There are four things you can never recover;

1 The stone, after it is thrown.

2  The occasion after it is gone.

3 The word after it is spoken.

4 Time after it is gone.

Now maybe this can all be summed up as "Just do it". Or for the erudite Carpe Diem. But the message is clear. Have a great week make something happen in your life. Do not put off that email or phone call you were going to make to a friend. Go out of your way to do something nice.
