Charlie Ragonesi Big Canoe Realestate's Blog: Peek-A-Bear

Peek-A-Bear

Driving through our neighborhood I noticed a Big Rock on the road. I thought I need to stop and move this before some one comes around a turn and hits it. As I was about to get out of my car my wife stopped me and pointed up into the woods,Bear in the woods in Big Canoe

I looked up and it was Peek-a Bear!!!! This young Bear was peeking out from behind a tree. He and his sibling were playing rolling rocks down the hill. Perhaps he would have sprung out and said the Bear equivalent of Surprise! At that point I would have had the Fred Sanford equivalent of "The Big One!" What a great sight. We know he was a juvenile because he was with his sibling in the distance

Big Canoe BearsNotice in this photo the bear in the back who is the sibling. In the fore ground of the photo is the hiding bear behind the tree you see in the first picture. Think you know what gated communities are all about ? These pictures are in North Georgia's Premier Mountain gated community Big Canoe. Wos, Charlie, that must have been one heck of  scare...  but how cool that once your heart started again, you were able to get some pictures - the reward of being an "always ready for a new listing" realtor, I am sure!

Great shots!    I like the idea that you thought they were "playing".

That is so neat thank you for sharing I would have been panicking I would not know what to do if I saw the bear and I thought it saw me. But that is cute the bears traveling together.

Have a great day,

Oh Charlie,

Now if that was me...I would have probably gotten out to pet the bear.  I'm dumb that way when it come to animals.  I absolutely love animals.  Thank you for sharing this wonderful experience.  Great luck you had your camera with you.

Hi Charlie ~ So cool! A bear is the one animal I haven't seen that I *really* want to come across some day.

Charlie, that is a cool photo, that is something I have never seen in the wild is a bear.  I don't think you would want to anger them, but it is a cool photo!
