Wordless Wed the Cabin

cabin in the woods

This pretty log cabin is set in the woods near Jasper. It is the real deal. It is over 100 years old. Around it are all Rhodies and Mountain Laurel. Next to it is a small spring fed pool. You can see the water bubbling up out of the spring. Many of these cabins are saved in the mountains. When you hike trails you are often rewarded with this site and maybe a bench or 2 to sit on. Nothing fancy or electronic. Just quiet contemplation.

Looks like a nice shelter from the inevitable afternoon rain shower.

Very peaceful. In the rush of life we all need a place like this.

From spooky to romantic and somewhere in between. I bet there's a few stories there. Thanks for sharing.

Charlie, what a great meditation retreat! I know there are no bugs inside to distract - right? (LOL)
