Home sales in the mountains so far this year are flat. But a lot of that can be attributed to the more than usual snow and ice. I think this is going to be a great year for mountain sales.
Dalton Ga, the carpet capital of America , is starting to rebound and hiring may be back on soon. This will put pressure on prices in the 150000 to 200000 range.
People are starting to be able to sell their homes in other areas . This means that mountain property sales , in the second most popular destination, after ocean property, will start to heat up again.
If you are looking to find that mountain home consider the folks at All Mountain Realty. Let us help you find the value you are looking for .

Thanks for the mountain sales update, I also feel the sales will pick up this year.
Good luck and success.

Charlie,
I know that the weather has negatively affected sales here in Crofton, MD.

Charlie...
Maybe this will be the year that I build my home in Ellijay! Let's hope it goes well.
Hi Charlie:
Our sales are a little flat right now too.
I'm definitely attributing this to the weather!
Charlie, I hope you see activity begin soon. We stayed steady through December. Mainly due to the tax incentive and then went flat in January. The Sun is out and we have blue skies. Our market is starting to pick up. We've made it through another Winter....one never knows! Good luck with your market....it will heat up!
Charlie - we are all starting to see a slow turn-around. I think 2010 will be MUCH BETTER to us than 2009 was!
Hey Charlie our sales got off to a rock start because of so much snow. Hopeful that this will be a good year.
