Here in Big Canoe we are a hearty bunch. We boat and do things outdoors year round. Even though today might not be the best day to go canoeing that does not stop us from utilizing the paddles.
My son who is getting ready to go into the Coast Guard , and my wife in my sheepskin coat have figured out a way to "shovel" a deck. You have to consider the weight of the snow sometimes on a high deck. I am taking the photos. Who says Realtors are dumb !!!!!

Charlie - I think our weatherman didn't get the memo that spring is less than 3 weeks away.
You have more snow than we do! Okay, maybe not, but ours is melting! What a clever use of canoe paddles. Way to multi-use your tools.
What a picture, where is the picture of you sitting in the boat?
Those types of shovels would never work for the loads we get at times... LOL thanks
Charlie ---- you are the smart one 'cause you are taking the photo --

Charlie ... great photo. We all have whined so much about a hard winter, but on the bright side, we have taken and seen more snow pictures than we've seen in a long time ... and what beautiful photos !! Next to sunsets, snow pictures are my favorite.
In many areas like yours where snow has been a special treat, it calls for creativity where snow shovels aren't sold.
Charlie - you indeed are the smart one for somehow convincing your wife and son to do the manual labor ;-)
If there is a will, there is a way. Great idea.
Looks like you got about 5" of Global Warming, Charlie.
I will wait for the picture of you paddling down the river with a shovel
Really cute picture. I cannot believe all the snow you have!!
Charlie, no one would argue with you. You, the REALTOR, are taking the picture, while the gang is doing the hard labor. =)
